Timothy J. Loven - Due Diligence Specialist |
Timothy J. Loven has nearly 30 years' experience in the oil and gas industry across Oklahoma, Louisiana, Texas, Kansas, Colorado, Arkansas, Kentucky, Indiana, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Beginning as a contract field landman, he quickly became proficient at running difficult mineral ownership title and HBP Unit assessments in Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas, He continued to expand his expertise over the years, becoming proficient in lease, fiber optic and pipeline right-of-way acquisitions, compressor and well site agreements and essentially all other types of contract negotiation matters related to the various phases of exploration and production. Mr. Loven has also managed turnkey seismic projects spanning in excess of 100 sections.
In more recent years, Mr. Loven has become a due diligence specialist, conducting due diligence reviews on producing and non-producing oil and gas properties for the FDIC, acquisitions of producing properties from major oil and gas companies, and also for major divestitures. Most recently, he successfully managed due diligence projects in West Virginia and Pennsylvania for both a purchase of Marcellus Rights of over 100,000 acres as well as a divestiture of over 100,000 acres. He is often consulted to successfully trouble shoot lease and production property acquisition projects that have reached an impasse. He has also owned and operated a successful landman brokerage firm and has worked "in house" as a land manager for several large landman brokerage companies. |

Kenneth J. Thornhill – GIS/Mapping Specialist |
Kenneth J. Thornhill has more than 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He began his seismic career as a surveyor for Western Geophysical. His aptitude for learning quickly moved him up the rank and file. Along the way, Ken has held staff and contract positions as Permit Agent, Right of Way Agent, Database Administrator, Project Manager, and GIS Specialist for a long list of exploration, geophysical and land-service companies; in addition, he has also owned and operated a successful surveying firm.
Mr. Thornhill has acted as project manager on numerous 3D seismic projects ranging in size from thirty to several hundred square miles. Most recently, Ken acted as project manager on a 225 square mile 3D seismic project in western Oklahoma; followed by assignment as the GIS specialist on a 100,000 acre due diligence effort in West Virginia.
Mr. Thornhill has held a lifelong interest in surveying and mapping. This interest, combined with his knowledge of computers, and his background in seismic exploration led him to Louisiana Tech where he obtained certifications in Geographical Information Systems (GIS). Ken is an alumnus of the University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM) where he obtained his Bachelors Degree (cum laude). He is a member of several national honor societies and is currently a Master's candidate at ULM. |
